Updated Baggage System:
The baggage system has been updated and implemented. Cathay Pacific introduced on 23rd September, 2021 has also shifted their baggage policy from a weight allowance to a piece allowance system which will provide a huge baggage allowance in most of the fare types and cabin classes. Marco Polo Club Benefits:
As the new fares are implemented, the club members with gold and diamond membership are entitled to one piece of complimentary check-in baggage in addition to the original baggage allowance for the fare type they have purchased. However, Silver and above members of the club are entitled to enjoy complimentary seat selection, extra legroom seats, and advanced seat reservations which bring greater assurance, advanced digital experience as well as elevated entertainment experience to travelers and passengers.
Covid-19 Extension:
Cathay Pacific announced the extension of free Covid 19 insurance which is offered to all their passengers most probably till 31st December 2021. During their flights, all passengers are covered for medical expenses which are related to Covid 19 diagnoses, including specific tests like PCR, hospitalization, quarantine costs, evacuation, and repatriation.
